Rich Libero’s 29-year media career spans newspapers, broadcast and includes 25 years of digital experience.
During the course of his career Libero helped build and manage content and production teams for FoxSports.com, EASports.com, NHL.com, Comcast SportsNet’s regional sports networks and the Women’s Tennis Association.
He achieved a personal career goal when he joined the National Hockey League as VP Editorial and Production for NHL.com in 1999.
“For a sports-crazed kid who never really wanted to work a hum-drum job, I have to consider myself one of the luckiest people alive,” Libero said.
During the course of his career, Libero has covered a variety of events from regular-season and playoff NHL, MLB, NFL and NBA games. He covered two FIFA World Cups, two Winter Olympics, Grand Slam Tennis, horse and auto racing during his time as a reporter.
In 1998, Rich served as color commentator on MLS broadcasts for the New York/New Jersey MetroStars (now NY Red Bull).
Libero currently resides in Treasure Island, FL, and operates his own consulting firm; Stadium Publishing LLC (http://www.stadiumpublishing.net). He also authored the hardcover book “This Could be the Year: My 30 Years as a Miami Dolphins Fan” in 2006.
