Sahmia Parks is a 27-year-old photographer and writer based out of Los Angeles California. She was influenced at a young age by her uncle who is a veteran photographer. Photography has afforded her the opportunity to travel around the world and around the state to capturing transformational moments. With an array of subjects in her portfolio, Sahmia found her niche in Fine Art curating a photography project called Bare; Expressions- The Art of Vulnerability.
Sahmia is inspired by real-life experiences and the story of those around her “We are more alike than we are different and the more we embrace ourselves and our peers as they are the easier life tends to be”. She enjoys capturing the first moments of a new family, the serenity of a yoga retreat, and the excitement that lives inside of music events. As a deep thinker, she spends a lot of time writing about her experience and the life lessons she has gained from them. You can find a lot of her written work on her blog. If she does not shooting or writing, Sahmia can be found enjoying time with her family and exploring a new place.
