Content Strategist, Copy Editor, Copywriter, Editor, Ghostwriter, Technical Writer, Writer, Managing Editor

Punctual and passionate science journalist, writer, and editor with years of dedicated experience.

I’m a New York City-based health and medical writer, editor, and marathon runner with 12 years of experience in digital/print content development and journalism. I've written over 2,500 articles and a countless number of web pages, proposals, and everything in between. My work has been featured on BBC Worldwide News and published in Newsweek, Medical Daily, International Business Times, Huffington Post, Yahoo! News, MSN.com, AlterNet, and more. Because of my science and writing background, I often work with clinicians and researchers to transform complex and jargon-ridden science into an easily digestible and engaging form for a lay audience. My primary expertise is writing news articles, blog posts, ad copy, press releases, emails, newsletters, web pages, briefs, speeches, research updates, textbooks, grant proposals, and white papers.

After earning my Master of Science in Journalism degree, I was selected by the National Press Foundation as a Precision Medicine Fellow at the Mayo Clinic through the White House's Precision Medicine Initiative, through which I produced a five-part series with in-depth research. I first became a skilled web content developer when I worked for a dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon at his private practice located in New York City. A highlight of my journalism career was being interviewed on BBC World News for the work I did through my six-month research project on prison systems. I'm currently a Ph.D. candidate working toward developing a voice in the field of narrative medicine.

Fun Fact: At my journalism school graduation, I was recognized by the dean for my exceptional interview skills—a prowess that led me to interview several celebrities, including Nick Cannon, Lorraine Bracco, Kim Cattrall, Brenda Strong, and Star Jones. The American Red Cross sponsored my invitation and backstage access to cover the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at the Lincoln Center.
