One of my favorite memories happened just after my 21st birthday, and I was about to do something that none of my family and most of my friends would never support, let alone appreciate. Before returning to school in the upcoming Spring semester, I resigned from my position at a successful Real Estate firm and set out for a two month long backpacking trip across the state of California via the Pacific Crest Trail. My adventure would take me from the US-Mexico border in San Ysidro to a quaint sports bar in Klamath Falls, Oregon with nothing more than a 40 pound pack and my best friend along for the trip.
I vividly remember during our second week we got lost in the Angeles National Forest, attempting to make our way through the mountains towards Lone Pine where we could find a popular ski town and a chance to resupply. After two days of some very poor navigating and way too much canned food, we finally came across a Dachshund breeding farm. The owner was kind enough to make us breakfast, refill our water, and point us in the direction of a local road where we could likely catch a ride to Lone Pine. Although I'm sure it wasn't anything short of a miracle, I have never had pancakes from a box that tasted as delicious as they did that morning. These days I have given up almost all of my adventures through mountains, but...
I still expect myself to be able to move mountains!
After meeting the love of my life I finished my Bachelor of Arts program while helping to raise our two children, ages 3 and 1, as well as working full-time in program development and coordination for the YMCA of San Diego County. I strive to hold myself to an exceptionally high standard of professionalism, adaptability, and compassion.
So if you ever want to grab a cup of coffee, maybe lunch, and talk about pretty much anything, I'm your guy. I would be more than happy to hear your story, or tell you one of mine.
