Vision and purpose: nurture, heal, inspire and create
Healing and nurturing are inextricable parts of my life. I have been a nurse for 20 years, specifically in neurology. I have always been fascinated with the brain and its unfathomable depths. The longer I have been a nurse, the more I realize, how very little we know about the brain and human potential. We now know it is capable of learning and evolving at any age. It is able to define reality as our will dictates. Its limits are undefined, just as the universe is vast and unknowable. Its capabilities are only as limited as we allow it to be. Nursing and other healthcare professions are an integral part of my family and are highly respected. My mother is a retired nurse. Many of my extended family are also nurses. My sister is a respiratory therapist. My brother is a physician. The ability to think on your feet, problem-solve and to change with the environment is crucial to these fields. The very core of healthcare is dependent on creative, nurturing, compassionate, healing, and inspirational individuals.
