For a long time my job was a bear guide. I followed bears around North America, spending my off seasons (bears sleep half the year) sailing the Caribbean, biking solo around Tasmania and New Zealand, and backpacking South America. I was captivated by potential stories, connecting with people from different backgrounds, always writing on the side until I realized all I was after was a good story. I now call my native Pacific Northwest home and work as a Trip Specialist, programming guided trips around the world for a major outdoor company.
