Bay Area writer: food, booze, and profiles (people and businesses)

I'm a Bay Area writer covering food and alcohol, nonprofits, art, and profiles of interesting characters for places like the Washington Post, Smithsonian, NPR, Lucky Peach and Men's Journal. I also offer content and copy writing services (ghost blogging, case studies, email newsletters).

Over the years I've covered a little everything, from the science of urban design to the fashion problem of designing men's suits for women's bodies. I'm based in the Bay Area, so I've written about local issues ranging from Oakland's rap scene to agriculture issues facing farms in Wine Country (Sonoma and Napa). I've also spent a few years as a food writer, doing straight restaurant reviews and reported features about food justice.
