Award-Winning Photographer, Author, Writer & Teacher based in Ireland
Hello, I'm Stephen Power, a full-time photographer, writer and videographer. I'm originally from the UK and happily living in County Kerry, Ireland for the last 20 years.
I have taught photography for the world's largest online diploma course, photographed for newspapers, books, magazines and large international organizations and famous musicians and sporting personalities, among others.
I have attained a number of international awards, including the NAPP Guru Award for Excellence in Photoshop, and the Creative Quarterly Award of Excellence.
As a and writer, I specialize in Mental health and well-being, Travel, photography and music. I also have an extensive background in psychiatric nursing, Mental Health education, Counseling and Psychotherapy training and clinical supervision, having held several senior clinical and higher-education posts in the UK and Ireland.
I am the author of an acclaimed textbook and a book chapter on clinical supervision, and numerous journal articles on psychotherapy and supervision. I also presented a "Mental health Matters" slot on local radio for several years.
I have written books based around photography, including one on Traditional Irish music. I have worked for Tourism Ireland and several travel guide book publishers, including DK and music magazines such as 'saxophone Life'.
I've also held the part-time position of 'Associate Editor, Ireland', for the prestigious photography journal, Cameracraft, since 2008.
I have spent much of my working lifetime as professional photographer, author and teacher. Sometimes, life was hard and sometimes it was glorious. I have never regretted my career path at all as photography, for me, is everything. It's what I am, rather than what I do.
I love sharing my deep passion for photography through personal teaching, my writing, video presentations and one-to-one or small group workshops. Even in the late afternoon of my life, I still crave new mountains to climb.

Even in the late afternoon of my life, I still crave new mountains to climb. I hope you will help me to get to base camp of a few more.
