Steve Mitchell

Steve Mitchell has been teaching, writing, playing guitar and singing for a living since graduating from Toronto’s York University with a creative writing degree in the early 90s. In 2004, he and his wife Leslie and their infant daughter moved from Canada to the musical hothouse of Nashville, Tennessee, where he worked as a full-time songwriter and she published his growing catalog of songs. Mitchell’s tunes have been featured on film and TV and released as radio singles by artists based in Canada, the United States, Australia, and Norway.

Now based in a remote cabin on Vancouver Island’s Cameron Lake with his family, a chihuahua and eight chickens, Mitchell is currently co-writing and editing a how-to book on seaweed skin care.
