Old Dominion University graduate Susan Smigielski Acker is a 14-year freelance journalist, editor and brand content creator who has written about business, consumer goods, home and gardening, parenting, health, personal profiles, and entertainment. Her brand content writing experience includes devising and writing five content articles for the Carton Council of American, an HVAC company and machine office supply company. All organizations were amazed by her creativity to develop interesting articles around mundane subject She enjoys biking, Bruce Springsteen’s music, Polish-American culture and reducing her family’s carbon footprint. Susan lives in Newport News with her husband, Scott, and their teenage daughters, Charlotte and Julia.
