Nearly twenty years ago, I started working as an estimator and project manager in the construction industry. Even then, I was always writing. Health and safety plans. Specifications. Proposals.
It was really no surprise when I decided to make writing my job, which I did for several years in the mid 2000s, culminating with the publication of my non fiction guide to construction for owner builders by an imprint of Random House in 2012.
That same year, I moved from my native South Africa to Canada, and found myself back in the construction world. I was still writing though, and I also began to seriously dabble in web development.
Currently, I am a freelance writer and web designer, who specializes in content and digital marketing for construction related companies.
