I have more than 20 years of professional experience that includes newspaper reporting, business communications and operations management.
As a reporter, I’ve covered everything from crime to education to local government to sports.
In business, I have worked as a ghostwriter, a copywriter, a product description writer and an in-depth features writer. I have written business policies and procedures and can offer real-world experience on the topics of hiring and firing, conflict resolution, staff training, team motivation and implementation of company plans.
I have extensive experience writing about music, specifically vinyl records. I’ve written album liner notes, promotional copy for records, stereo equipment descriptions, artist profiles, concert promotions and advertising copy. I’ve also ghostwritten email newsletters, performance contract negotiations and record licensing deals.
I’m passionate about travel and exploring. My most memorable adventure was a nine-month, 10,000-mile bicycle ride around the perimeter of the United States. Being a freelance writer allows me to take my work wherever I may roam.
And I know a thing or two about golf, traditional blues music, record collecting, craft cocktails and cocktail culture, parenting and youth basketball coaching.
My unassuming nature makes me easy to work with, but my drive for excellence ensures I’ll deliver clean copy. On deadline. Every single time.
