Media professional with experience in radio broadcasting and journalism
At the moment, I'm a remote freelance transcriber at e2f, Inc, and I help the company transcribe audio and telephony files into the English language. I am also involved, remotely, in the production of news content for ZiMining, a startup project from ground zero. With 13 years of media practice- 8 years spent as a radio presenter and producer for the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation- I have the right skill set as a copy editor and writer. My copy is simple, clear, concise and is delivered within time frame.
I've always considered reading and researching on different topics as second nature to me, and I never thought that I'll be stuck on a single book for a long time. Well, The Elements of Style, by Will Strunk, who teaches on the use of plain English, has been my daily companion for the last few years: A testament of my passion for grammar, words, punctuation and style. I'm not even surprised that the mobile version of the Merriam-Webster dictionary depletes the battery life of my mobile phone, most of the times.
My areas of interest include editing, grammar, writing and Google online research.
