I am an experienced software architect and developer specializing in application modernization in the .NET stack, cloud solutions and SQL and NoSQL databases. I have over 15,000 LinkedIn connections and recent posts have reached between 10,000 and 20,000 people.
I created a patented in-memory graph database for Ancestry.com. I lead the design and development of a highly successful medical benefits eligibility and enrollment system for the state of Massachusetts at the same time that healthcare.gov launched with so many failures. I have been creating successful solutions and mentoring teams, local and offshore, for over 12 years.
Just a little more than two years ago, I was in a hospital in India dying. As I laid in that bed hooked up to tubes, I determined that if I survived, I would be more like my dad. I survived and to remind myself every day to be like him, I tossed my polo shirts, kakis and tennis shoes and replaced them with snap western shirts, Wranglers, boots and a cowboy hat.
Every day I'm reminded to be more like my hero.
