I have both a Bachelors and Masters degree in English Language and Literature, as well as a TEFL certification. I got my start in writing and editing at Long Island University, where I worked for the Writing Center and later as a professor. I have since used those skills to present at academic conferences (Shifting Tides, Anxious Borders; MELUS), create web content (SavvyAuntie.com), teach English to students of all ages and backgrounds (Think&Write; Long Island University), assist in footnoting (Norton Critical Edition of Jane Eyre), and publish articles (Sensheant Magazine).
I now work as a full time lighting technician and followspot operator in most branches of the entertainment industry, and would be happy to create or edit content pertaining to entertainment as well. I've got the write stuff for whatever language-related project you have on hand!
