My experience includes hospital-based healthcare, research, risk management, and technology. While working for a small lab at Cornell University Medical College, I was around a lot of pipettes, assays, and journal articles. As a Healthcare Analyst for Bellevue Hospital Center, I saw the problems of a large urban hospital up close, and got to advocate for patients who qualified for clinical trials at monthly meetings of NYU Medical Center’s Institutional Review Board.

I also developed, wrote, and edited print and electronic material for clients, prospects and colleagues of a small bankruptcy law firm and the risk management department of a large commercial insurance brokerage.

My specialty is writing material that achieves human-centered connection. In the words of one of my clients:

Some of my favorite projects include:

• Authoring a speech on Bellevue Hospital’s Clinical Research Center that secured another year of funding from the National Institutes of Health.
• Rewriting a recruitment booklet for college majors in Risk Management. The revised copy included a “Put Your Insurance Degree to Work” section that helped recruiting efforts at the branch and national levels.
• Researching and writing a slide presentation that helped orient new employees to safety procedures at a tech company.
• Developing and writing a technical newsletter that summarized info on insurer products and services. This monthly publication helped make the jobs of 80 account executives easier.

By the way, I am also a trained Salesforce Admin as well as a Certified ToastMaster.
