As a social services professional, I have a big heart for ethically-minded businesses and creative entrepreneurs who seek to give back to their communities and who implement their care for the needy into their business models.
I am a Kansas City native currently calling San Diego home. I believe firmly in the power of good espresso, mountain air, and hand-written notes. When I'm not working at my "day job" at a local victim services organization or writing, you can find me rooting unashamedly for the Kansas City Royals, working out, reading on my Kindle, or playing cribbage at a coffee shop with my husband, Jake.
