I consider myself a reformed journalist. Meaning that the only thing I learned from graduating from journalism school was that I didn't want to work for the traditional news media. I decided to go my own way and I stumbled onto e-commerce.
During my first two and a half years, I worked for Amazon Fashion. This is where the majority of my expertise lies. I worked hands-on in a photo studio, describing products as they appeared to me. I know everything there is to know about garment construction. I also was the subject matter expert in jewelry and watches. Carat weight, gem cut, setting, clasp type, bezel information. You name it, and I've seen it. This makes me particularly suited for fashion blogging and sales.
In my time since then, I've expanded my horizons. Most recently, I completed time with Sportsman's Guide. So I now know everything there is to know about hunting, camping, and firearms. All this is despite the fact that I'm a self-proclaimed city girl.
