With my background in women's magazines and the research I did for my book, "Face Value: The Hidden Ways Beauty Shapes Women's Lives" (Simon & Schuster, 2016), I'm skilled at translating the interior lives of American women to the page. I also bake a mean pie, thanks to my pastry diploma from Institute of Culinary Education and ensuing work at some of New York City's top pastry kitchens, giving me an education on food that's a cut above the usual food blogger.
