Bob Cooper, who has won seven national magazine writing awards since 2005, is a San Francisco-area active-sports, active-travel, general-travel and general-interest freelance magazine and custom-content writer. He has written more than 100 custom-content/content-marketing articles for United Airlines (travel stories), Asics (running), several major medical centers (general health) and several alumni magazines (various topics). His articles as a journalist since 2009 have appeared in National Geographic Traveler, The Wall Street Journal, Wired, Hemispheres, American Way, Family Circle, Continental, Ladies’ Home Journal, Runner’s World (Contributing Editor since 1995), Inc. Magazine, Bicycling, Budget Travel, AAA Highroads, Houston Chronicle, San Francisco Chronicle, Porthole Cruise, Experience Life, Success, Draft, AOL Travel/Mapquest and many other major publications. For fun, Bob loves to compete, notching his 500th race completion (running and kayaking) in January 2015.
