David Allen

Religious Studies student, former award winning feature writer.

David Allen, Jr. is a student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he is a Morehead-Cain Scholar. David is a journalism and religious studies major at UNC and loves writing about the people who mean the most to him. His scholarly interests are in the New Testament, Early Christianity, and the Historical Jesus.

Above a well turned 6-4-3 double play or a rainy night on the porch, David treasures his family and friends. Among his inspirations are the likes of Wendell Berry, Stuart Scott, Bill Simmons, David Carr, Peter Gammons, David Foster Wallace, and Ray Bradbury. And no one loves the Avett Brothers, quite like him.
