Esther Muwombi is a 10-year experienced writer and journalist. She currently specializes in copy writing, SEO articles, press releases, actual field news articles and many other blog materials. Esther began her career at a small radio station (Signal FM) east of Uganda where she was offered a job as assistant Editor, news reader and program presenter for a two-hour interactive and musical show. In 2009, she moved to South Sudan in time to witness and cover the birth of the world’s newest nation when the country achieved its independence, on July 9th, 2011. She served at the historic Juba post newspaper which was the first newspaper in South Sudan following the end of a 21-year civil war in 2005. She worked with another four newspapers in Juba writing politics, business, health, and women stories before founding African echoes magazine in 2012, a monthly publication that focuses on women pressing issues and interests. In the same year, she founded another publication, an A5 mini business directory called “My South” a book the first of its kind in Juba that was very dramatic in helping visitors, investors, scholars, business people and the general public to look up places in the then new city. Born in Uganda, Esther moved with her family to Kenya as a baby and then to the USA. She attended kindergarten until second grade at Bloomsburg Memorial Elementary school in Bloomsburg Pennsylvania before returning to Uganda to pursue higher education. Esther has worked as a journalist in Rwanda, Uganda, and South Sudan and fluently speaks English, Kiswahili, and simple Arabic.
