Historian and publisher Dr Eugenia Russell has written and edited several academic books and articles on early modern cultural history and especially the literature, art and culture of Byzantium and early modern Greece. She has taught History, History of Art, and Political Philosophy in Higher Education as well as giving many public talks and lectures. She also taught Music and Religious Studies in Secondary Schools in Hertfordshire. She plays the violoncello and piano; holds higher degrees from the Universities of London and Bristol, and a Pianoforte Diploma with Honours from the Victoria College of Music.

Eugenia has co-authored four history books with Dr Quentin Russell including three on the history of Watford and Bushey. She is a member of The Society of Authors and Creative Hertfordshire and her work has appeared in BBC History Magazine, the British Library website, Oxford Bibliographies Online, Encyclopaedia Britannica, Military History Magazine, Sea History, Hertfordshire Life, Suffolk Norfolk Life, the Institute of Historical Research (Reviews in History), Medieval Warfare, Ancient History Magazine and the Ancient World Magazine. In 2021 she co-founded Book Publishers Lone Fox Publishing.
