Am a journalist by profession with over 6 years experience in the media industry,I worked at ghetto fm in Kenyas capital Nairobi where i produced and aired the breakfast show programme.As a news editor i did proof reading for news content before being aired to ensure proper editorial policies are adhered to.As an editor,i produced radio features that focused on various issues affecting the society along with addressing various challenges that the people faced in day to day life.Being a seasoned journalist,i landed a job at media council of Kenya where i worked as a media analyst.My roles included preparing press releases,analysing content for both print and electronic to ensure journalistic code of ethics is adhered to.I later landed a job as a fundraising officer where i did proposals did presentations.organized fundraising campaigns ro raise money for our projects.As a fundraising officer i liaised with various donors,individuals and various entities to seek funding for our projects.Am interested to further my career in article writing,proposal writing,business plans,blogging,online marketing and research,cooperate communications,public relations along other media related roles at an international level.
Am a holder of a diploma in broadcast journalism at Kenyas leading media training institution Kenya institute of mass communication.A training done for 3 years due to colleges strict training duration for a diploma holder
Am also a holder of a one year certificate training from the same institution,
Already enrolled for a BA in communication at Moi university a course am going to take 2 years due to my 3 years i spent at the diploma level.
I have interest in research too.
