I grew up surrounded by books. I have always cherished the English language and the fabulous possibilities of the written word. After graduating from Birmingham University with a BA (Hons) degree in English and History, I worked for four years as a public sector copywriter. I am now a freelance writer and have had numerous articles and essays published.
