Previous Experience

I spent 6 years as an agency senior account manager. Then I spent the next 4 years at USAID /Haiti as a project specialist for the communication office. Writing, as it turns out, is my singular talent; the great common denominator of all my experience and all I still hope to accomplish; it is my gift and what I want to contribute to the world.

From creating communication and marketing strategies, collaborating on creative direction, overseeing production of communication and advertising tools and videos, full product launch mass media campaigns, social marketing campaigns, I have done it all. Writing has been at the heart of all things I’ve done for the last 10 years.

I have written slogans, visual ads, brochures, web pages, promotional emails, social media posts, video scripts and radio jingles, communication plans, marketing strategies, client proposals and statements of work.

As an agency project manager, my projects included overseeing both commercial and social marketing campaigns, including:
- Writing client proposals and budgets;
- Formulating communication or marketing strategies and promotions;
- developing core messages and copy in Creole, French or English
- Coordinating the production of multi-media communications tools (print, radio ads and videos) with a wide network of trusted vendors and service providers;
- Overseeing the launch and execution of advertising and social marketing campaigns;
- Maintaining relationships with the media;

Some of my career highlights:

At Blue Mango from 2012 to 2015, I collaborated on strategy and creative direction and managed the production of the deliverables for:
- Product launch of Du Maurier cigarettes in Haiti - a full mass media and visual campaign and targeted promotional events, and sales training for their sales force;
- Product launch of Frooty juice wihch included developing the full marketing identity (name, packaging and positioning), and the visual ads and the radio jingle;
- Full campaigns such as the Malta H “Kè Kontan” campaign for /Heinenken BRANA,
- Relaunch campaign for local cable company NuTV.

I also worked on social marketing campaigns included awareness campaigns on cholera and the HPV vaccine for Unicef and Centres Gheskio,as well as hygiene campaign for DINEPA and a tax collection campaign for the Petion-Ville mayoral office.

For the hygiene campaign for DINEPA I wrote and oversaw the production of a comic book called Brigad LPL in which two children took it upon themselves to issue “citations” to their friends and neighbors for violating the hygiene principles they had learned about in school.

Creative Writing:
I am currently finishing the Writing for Children and Teens course with the Institute of Children Literature and I also submit articles as a freelancer to select publications.
