Co-Writing, Ghostwriting, and Creative Response-Driven Marketing Content

I was a marketer and entrepreneur first. Writing came later. In business, I found myself designing product labels, writing ad copy and technical manuals, contributing articles to trade publications, writing press releases, radio scripts, and lyrics for jingles. People used to say, “You should write professionally”. Fifteen years ago I took their advice.
Business-wise, I helped found the food supplement brand “Solaray”, which today dominates natural food store shelves. I also helped launch a cutting edge probiotic product, “Flora Balance”. After writing the company’s technical manual I had to edit and re-edit ad and label copy while engaged in an on-going two-step with the FDA over compliance issues. As the founder and director of the “Body Therapy Institute”, along with all of the marketing-related writing associated with any small business enterprise, I wrote a complete instructional workbook for the course. During my incarnation as a real estate agent, I wrote promotional copy for residential and raw land listings and a listing presentation script for our franchisor.
Speaking of scripts, in my younger days I worked for a theatrical production company that produced large-scale historical reenactments, and along with writing PR and promotional copy, I wrote scripts. I have always enjoyed that level of creativity and so five years ago I began to write screenplays. My antebellum drama, “Dreams of Dogwood”, won the first place award in the 2018 Indie Gathering Film Festival screenwriting competition. I have some other good scripts too and my non-fiction manuscript, “The Yoga of Life”, is slated to be published next year by New Falcon Publications.
So while I wait for Hollywood to come and beat down my doors for my work, I am at your service. I prefer longer assignments; technical manuals, co-writing, white papers, biographies, etc., but I would certainly enjoy jumping in on some creative marketing campaigns as well.
