Lisa Ormsby is a San Diego-based conscious living, meditation, and wellness writer and photographer. She was born in Rochester, NY and grew up in a Korean family. She attended Long Island University where she studied English and Writing and traveled abroad throughout Europe and Asia in her later years there. In 2006, she moved to San Diego to follow the California Dream and met the love of her life (They've been married for 10 years now!). She is a member of San Diego Writers Ink, San Diego Memoir Writers Association, and Thought Leaders Who Write. When she’s not writing, you can find her spending quality time with her husband and furry baby somewhere within Mother Nature’s splendid array of parks and beaches.

In March of 2014, I tore my hip cartilage while playing golf at a networking event. It left me on a cane for 6 months and in physical therapy for over a year. After a year of recovering, my body suffered from the stress of running my own photography business while I was injured. I then suffered a nervous breakdown in June of 2015 which led me to incessant panic attacks. I could barely walk without blacking out. Before all this even happened, there were red flags to warn me that my health was on the decline but I ignored them thinking I had to hustle my way through life.
